Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a PMLD Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 tutoring sessions in Leeds, Wakefield or Bradford. Roles offer flexible hours with both part-time and full-time options, and involve working in home or school environments.

You will use multi-sensory, communication-focused strategies including Makaton/PECS, support pupils with EHCP outcomes and maintain safeguarding standards. An exciting chance to make a real difference in children's lives.

Qualifications

• Experience tutoring or supporting children with SEMH, SEN and/or PMLD.
• Knowledge of personalised learning and differentiated interventions.
• Familiarity with Makaton, PECS, AAC or assistive tech.
• Strong communication, organisation and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tutoring and targeted interventions for PMLD/SEN learners.
• Plan, deliver and assess individual programmes focusing on communication, sensory and life skills.
• Use multi-sensory and assistive communication approaches to engage learners.
• Record pupil progress and adapt plans to evolving needs.
• Collaborate with parents, schools and professionals to ensure continuity of support.
