Job summary

Candidates should bring substantial experience with PMLD or complex SEN, a calm and compassionate approach, and a valid DBS for both children and adults.

Qualifications

• Strong experience supporting children with PMLD or complex SEN.
• Experience in a specialist school, SEN provision, care, healthcare or residential setting.
• Understanding of sensory needs, communication difficulties and personalised learning.
• Calm, patient and compassionate approach.
• Valid Child and Adult DBS essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with PMLD and complex needs.
• Support communication, sensory development, cognition and independence.
• Deliver sensory, play-based and personalised learning activities.
• Support pupils with physical disabilities, sensory impairments and complex health needs.
• Assist with personal care, feeding and mobility where required.
• Follow EHCPs, learning plans, care plans and health protocols.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and other specialist professionals.
• Monitor pupil engagement, development and progress.
• Help create a calm, safe and nurturing learning environment.
