This full-time role involves supporting students with profound and multiple learning difficulties and personal care. Experience in a similar SEN setting is essential, and an Enhanced DBS is required. Qualifications

• Previous experience in a special school or SEN setting is desirable.
• Must have an Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to obtain.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to obtain.
• Reliable, patient and passionate about SEN support.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and small group support for students with PMLD.
• Assist with personal care routines including toileting and feeding.
• Support students in accessing an adapted curriculum.
• Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement IEPs.
• Contribute to student development plans.
• Foster a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Job description

Location: Ealing, London Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday Start Date: September 2025 (Full Academic Year) Role Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only Axcis Education is seeking a compassionate and experienced PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Special School in Ealing this September. This is a full-time role for the entire academic year, supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs, including personal care. The Special School ages you will supporting will be between 4-18 years old. Key Responsibilities: -Deliver 1:1 and small group support for students with PMLD -Assist with personal care routines (toileting, feeding, hygiene) -Support students in accessing a broad, engaging, and adapted curriculum -Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement IEPs -Monitor progress and contribute to student development plans -Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment Requirements: -Experience working with PMLD students -Comfortable and confident with personal care duties -Valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain) -Reliable, patient, and passionate about SEN support -Strong communication and teamwork skills -Must have an enhanced DBS on the update service Desirable: -Relevant TA or SEN qualification Prior experience in a special school or SEN setting What We Offer: -A supportive and well-resourced school environment -The opportunity to make a real difference every day -Ongoing CPD and career development opportunities -Competitive weekly pay and dedicated consultant support
