Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment seeks a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a SEND school near Kidderminster. You will assist pupils aged 4–19 with PMLD and complex needs, helping them access learning and build independence.

The role runs full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm, starting in September. You will work in a nurturing, inclusive environment with ongoing consultant support and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or individuals with additional needs.
• Patient, caring and proactive approach.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Comfortable providing personal care support.
• Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS if not held already.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people aged 4–19 with SEND and complex learning needs.
• Work closely with pupils with PMLD.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support.
• Assist with learning activities, communication and personal development.
• Build positive relationships and create a calm, inclusive learning environment.
