Job summary

Axcis Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a brand-new SEND provision in Uxbridge starting September. You will support learners with PMLD in a dedicated learning environment, helping them engage with education, build independence and achieve personal goals alongside experienced staff.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with PMLD/SEND or complex learning needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work within a team.
• Patient, empathetic and flexible approach to learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for learners with PMLD.
• Assist with personal care and mobility needs where required.
• Encourage participation, communication and independence.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists and other professionals.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
