Job summary

Dewis Centre for Independent Living is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a 16-year-old girl in the Llantrisant area. The role requires patience and a gentle approach, as she is ASD with learning disabilities and does not like to be rushed.

The PA will spend 6 hours per week with her, assisting in social and leisure activities in the community and sometimes supervising her at home, with mileage discussed and a driver/vehicle required.

Qualifications

• Patient and calm when supporting a young person with ASD and learning disabilities.
• Ability to engage in social/leisure activities with safety awareness.
• Ability to follow instructions and be reliable.

Personal Assistant to support a 16 year old girl in the Llantrisant area,

with ASD & Learning Disabilities. She doesn't like to be rushed. 2:1 needed to support out in the community with social & leisure activities, ensuring her safety. Sometimes, the role may involve supervising her at home. 6 hours per week. £14.50 per hour (mileage to be discussed). Driver and vehicle owner required. PAs must be non smokers.
