Job summary

Bullet Express is seeking an experienced Afternoon Warehouse Supervisor for their Bothwell site. The role is a working supervisor position, requiring hands-on leadership of a busy PM warehouse team and direct involvement in operational duties to maintain safety, accuracy and on-time departures.

You will supervise the team, allocate workloads, and assist with loading/unloading, forklift operation, and ensuring freight is scanned, routed and loaded for departure. Strong safety focus is essential.

PM Warehouse Supervisor – Bothwell

Hours: Monday to Friday, 14:00 - 22:00

Bullet Express is looking for an experienced, hands-on Afternoon Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at our Bothwell site.

This is a working supervisor role. We are looking for someone who is comfortable leading and organising a busy warehouse team while also being prepared to work alongside them when required.

You will be responsible for ensuring the PM warehouse operation runs safely, efficiently and on time, making sure freight is correctly handled, scanned, routed and loaded for departure.

Important – Forklift Licence Required

Applicants MUST hold a valid Forklift Licence and have practical forklift experience.

A valid forklift licence is an essential requirement for this position. Unfortunately, applications from candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

The Role

As the Afternoon Warehouse Supervisor, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the warehouse during your shift.

You will lead from the front, organising the workload, supporting your team and ensuring that operational deadlines are achieved.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising, leading and supporting the Afternoon warehouse team.
• Allocating work and ensuring team members understand their responsibilities and priorities.
• Working alongside the warehouse team and assisting with operational duties when required.
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Ensuring freight is correctly scanned, routed and allocated to the correct vehicles.
• Spotting vehicles and organising the movement of freight within the warehouse.
• Ensuring all outgoing vehicles are loaded accurately and ready to depart on schedule.
• Monitoring productivity and reacting quickly to operational issues or changing priorities.
• Ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times.
• Maintaining high standards of warehouse and yard cleanliness and organisation.
• Checking warehouse equipment and reporting any defects or issues promptly.
• Communicating effectively with drivers, office teams and management.
• Providing clear updates and escalating any operational issues where required.

Essential Requirements

• Valid Forklift Licence (ESSENTIAL)
• Previous hands-on forklift experience in a busy warehouse.
• Experience supervising, leading or coordinating a warehouse team.
• Confident allocating work and managing priorities throughout a shift.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Comfortable making decisions and resolving operational issues.
• A strong understanding of warehouse health and safety, including pedestrian segregation, safe stacking and manual handling.
• Committed to carrying out forklift checks, following safe working procedures and reporting defects, hazards and near misses promptly.
• Able to challenge unsafe behaviour and lead by example on safety standards.
• Physically capable of carrying out warehouse and manual handling duties.
• Reliable, hardworking and flexible in supporting the wider operation.

Success in this role means having a PM warehouse operation that is organised, safe and efficient.

Freight should be handled and scanned accurately, vehicles should be loaded correctly and depart on time, and the warehouse team should have clear direction throughout the shift.

Most importantly, we are looking for a supervisor who can lead from the front - someone who can manage the team but is equally prepared to roll up their sleeves and work alongside them.
