Abingdon and Witney College seeks an experienced plumber or gas engineer to train level 3 apprentices and share expertise with colleagues at the Bicester Construction Skills Centre. The role blends practical workshops with theory, emphasizing workplace behaviours and industry standards.
You will join a small, committed team and help deliver Gas Safe qualifications alongside apprenticeship provision, in a modern, professional facility with up-to-date equipment.

The Bicester Construction Skills Centre is designed specifically for apprentices, existing tradespeople, and employers. Our Blue Flame Accredited Gas Centre delivers Gas Safe qualifications alongside our apprenticeship provision, supported by modern workshops, state-of-the-art equipment, and industry-standard materials.

Any successful candidates will be required to complete a structured training pathway, unless they already hold the relevant qualifications. This includes a two-week teacher induction (must be completed within probation), followed by the Award in Education and Training (AET) including Assessor is required, and then the Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher (LST) apprenticeship. Completion of this structured learning programme is expected within 3 years. Furthermore, there is the option to pursue Qualified Teacher Learning Status (QTLS).
