Job summary

Harlow College in Essex is seeking a passionate Plumbing Teacher to deliver theory and practical lessons to full-time students and apprentices up to Level 2. The role focuses on inspiring learners, planning engaging sessions, and building industry-ready skills in a supportive environment.

You do not need a teaching qualification to start in FE; the college will support you to gain one at no cost. A strong industry background in plumbing and a commitment to inclusive teaching will help you thrive

Qualifications

• Assessor (A1) and/or Verifier (V1) qualification or willingness to work toward.
• Level 2 Plumbing qualification or above.
• Industry experience in Plumbing.
• Experience teaching or training others.
• Level 4 teaching qualification or willingness to work toward.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging theory and practical lessons in Plumbing
• Prepare, plan, and deliver learning sessions that motivate and challenge learners of all abilities.
• Provide practical demonstrations and hands-on training to develop learners’ industry-ready skills.
• Assess student performance, track progress, and provide constructive feedback.
• Support individual learning needs and help remove barriers to learning.
• Create an inclusive learning environment that promotes success and independence.
• Stay current with industry trends, developments, and best practice.

We are looking for a passionate and skilled professional to teach Plumbing to fulltime students and apprentices (up to Level 2)

You do not need a teaching qualification to work in Further Education, just a passion to educate tomorrow’s workforce. We will support the successful applicant to gain their teaching qualification whilst they work at no cost! **.
