Qualifications

• Significant Plumbing & Gas industry experience.
• Occupational competence to Level 3 or equivalent.
• Current Gas Safe registration essential.
• Teaching experience desirable but not essential; support to achieve teaching qualification.
• Level 2 English and Maths is required.
• Willingness to work towards a recognised teaching qualification.
• Air Source Heat Pump / low-carbon heating experience desirable.
• Able to work across College sites and employer locations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Plumbing & Gas apprenticeship programmes up to Level 3.
• Mix practical workshop and classroom-based theory sessions.
• Train learners across installation, maintenance, fault-finding and safe working practices.
• Develop apprentices' technical skills, professional behaviours and industry knowledge.
• Incorporate current Gas Safe regulations and employer expectations into training.
• Assess learner progress and provide clear feedback.
• Maintain accurate assessment, progress and learner records.
• Collaborate with employers and colleagues to support high-quality delivery.
• Support learners' progression, confidence and preparation for employment.
• Incorporate sustainability and low-carbon heating into learning.
• Support Open Evenings, recruitment activities and employer engagement.
• Full-time permanent position, 37 hours per week.
• Support to gain a recognised teaching qualification.
