Job summary

Bradford College is seeking a Plumbing and Gas Skills Coach to guide and assess apprentices against national standards. You will support learners, ensure understanding of technical knowledge, and drive progress in their plumbing and gas qualifications.

The role includes managing caseloads, conducting observations, and recording assessments to meet awarding body requirements, while promoting inclusive practices across the programme.

Qualifications

• GCSE 4-9 or equivalent Maths or English at level 2 or equivalent
• Assessor Award or working toward
• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Plumbing related discipline
• Gas Safe registered

Responsibilities

• Undertake timely assessment of apprentices to the national standards and document decisions to meet awarding body requirements
• Manage a caseload of apprentices, setting SMART targets to ensure progress
• Conduct timely workplace observations and upload progress into the apprenticeship management system
• Plan and confirm OTJ requirements with employer and apprentice to meet ESFA requirements
• Plan and complete 12 weekly reviews covering progress toward knowledge, skills, behavior and welfare
• Complete assessment paperwork to high standard for awarding bodies and external agencies
• Monitor apprentices needing ALN/ALS and CognAssist interventions where identified
• Ensure 4-6 weekly TLA visits to meet ESFA requirements
