Job summary

Flow Student, the national student living brand from MCR Property Group, is seeking a Maintenance Operative at Parham Student Village in Canterbury with a strong plumbing background.

You will carry out day-to-day maintenance, respond to requests, perform basic repairs, and support with Planned Preventative Maintenance, compliance checks and resident services. The role is 37.5 hours/week with a £32,000 salary.

Qualifications

• Background in plumbing and good working knowledge of plumbing systems.
• Experience in general property maintenance.
• Basic technical knowledge of electrical systems.
• Strong problem solver with attention to detail.
• Good communication and interaction with residents.
• Independent, proactive, able to manage daily tasks.
• Desirable: plumbing qualification or trade background.
• Experience in residential/student accommodation environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day reactive maintenance across the property, including bedrooms and communal spaces.
• Complete basic repairs relating to plumbing, electrical fittings, joinery and fixtures.
• Diagnose faults and implement timely solutions.
• Ensure all maintenance work is safe and of high standard.
• Assist with room inspections and end-of-tenancy preparations.
