Job summary
Think FE is seeking a highly experienced Plumbing Trainer Assessor to support apprentices in the workplace and college-based learning. Based in Leamington Spa, you will assess, review progress, mentor learners and coordinate work placements with employers.
The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing, strong industry experience, solid Health & Safety knowledge, and a willingness to gain an Assessor qualification within 12 months.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent apprenticeship
- Recent extensive plumbing industry experience
- Understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- Willingness to achieve Assessor qualification within 12 months if not already held
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent, if not currently achieved
Responsibilities
- Assessing learners in the workplace against NVQ standards
- Conducting formal progress reviews with learners and employers
- Supporting apprentices with academic and vocational development
- Liaising with employers and other assessors to secure suitable opportunities
- Co-ordinating work placements and employment opportunities
- Building relationships with industry partners
- Monitoring quality of training delivered by subcontractors
- Supporting recruitment and promotional activity as needed
- Contributing to bespoke training opportunities for employers
- Occasionally assisting with exam invigilation
