Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking a Commercial Plumber / Water Hygiene Technician for a mobile role across Glasgow and the Central Belt. You will work with the facilities services team to deliver water hygiene services and plumbing tasks on client sites.

The role requires formal plumbing qualification, Legionella awareness, a valid driving licence and a DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists. Competitive salary up to £35,000 DOE plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Qualified Plumber (Essential).
• Legionella Awareness Training including knowledge of Regulations/Byelaws, L8 ACOP, HSG274.
• Knowledge of Water Hygiene service delivery requirements based on Table 2.1 HSG274 Part 2.
• Valid driving licence.
• DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance and remedial water hygiene works with the technical team.
• Temperature monitoring, showerhead descaling, cold water tank inspections and cleans.
• Cooling tower cleaning and disinfection works.
• Servicing Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs).
• Conduct water sampling and analysis.
• Perform LTHW system testing and analysis.
• Dose systems with inhibitor and biocide chemicals.
• Undertake cooling system testing and analysis.
• Complete steam boiler testing and analysis.
• Service water softeners and associated equipment.
• Carrying out plumbing remedial works as required.
• Maintain ACOP L8/site logs accurately when acting as Primary Technician.

Commercial Plumber / Water Hygiene Technician (Legionella Compliance) – Mobile Role – Glasgow – up to £35,000 DOE

An established facilities services company is seeking a Tierr 3 Water Hygiene Technician/Commercial plumber to join their team in a permanent, full-time mobile position.The role involves working across multiple locations throughout Glasgow and the wider Central Belt.

Key Responsibilities

• Working closely with the technical team, schedulers, and contract administrators to efficiently deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and remedial water hygiene/treatment works.
• Carrying out temperature monitoring, showerhead descaling, cold water storage tank inspections and cleans.
• Completing cooling tower cleaning and disinfection works.
• Servicing Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs).
• Conducting water sampling and analysis.
• Performing LTHW system testing and analysis.
• Dosing systems with inhibitor and biocide chemicals.
• Undertaking cooling system testing and analysis.
• Completing steam boiler testing and analysis.
• Servicing water softeners and associated equipment.
• Carrying out plumbing remedial works as required.
• Ensuring all ACOP L8/site logbooks are accurate, compliant, and up to date when acting as Primary Technician.
