Job summary

1st Step Solutions are currently looking for a Plumber's Mate to work on a temp-to-perm basis for a National M&E Contractor. The head stores is based out of Aldridge, WS9, with work across Manchester, Liverpool, and Preston. A van with fuel card is provided; digs away from home are paid, plus £25 meal allowance per day.

Role involves installing site temporaries. Start date ASAP. Hours are 43–50 per week at £20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS card and Site Safety Plus or equivalent.
• References confirming similar duties and right to work in the UK.
• Experience working on construction sites; flexibility to assist electrically if required.

Responsibilities

• Install site temporaries and support plumbing teams across projects.
• Work on national assignments from Aldridge with travel to sites as needed.

Job description

1st Step Solutions are currently looking for an Plumber's Mate for a temp-to-perm role, working for a National M&E Contractor.

We are looking for a Plumber's Mate to work across multiple projects Nationally, who is looking to eventually work permanently with the company, who will fascilitate future training and qualifications.

The head stores is based out of Aldridge, WS9, where you will be picked up and job locations include Manchester, Liverpool, and Preston. Van with fuel card is provided, and if staying away for a day or so, digs is paid, and also given £25 meal allowance per day.

Work will include the installation of site temporaries.

Previous experience and requirements for the role include:

• CSCS Card
• Due to site safety regulations, you must hold Site Safety Plus or equivalent (CCNSG, SSSTS, SMSTS, Level 1 in H&S). If you do not hold the certificate, you must be willing to sit the course prior to attending site (cost to be reimbursed after commencing)
• References confirming similar duties
• Experience working on construction sites
• Flexibility to possibly assist electrically if required
• Two recent references confirming similar duties, your JIB card, and proof of your Right to Work in the UK
