Job summary

The University of Salford is looking for a qualified Plumber to join its in-house Estates Maintenance team. You will carry out planned preventative and reactive plumbing and heating works across teaching, research, residential and specialist facilities, ensuring safe, compliant and operational buildings.

The role requires City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating, strong practical background and good communication.

Qualifications

• Qualified plumbing and heating professional with City & Guilds NVQ Level 3
• Sound knowledge of water and heating systems
• Strong health and safety awareness

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance of water and heating systems
• Reactive plumbing repairs and fault diagnosis
• Minor installation works such as new water supplies and radiators
• Work within a professional in-house maintenance team
• Participate in out-of-hours emergency call-out rota
• Comply with health and safety regulations
