Work with York Limited is looking to recruit a qualified Plumber for a local authority client based in York. This is for an immediate start, minimum 6 months, with potential to go from temporary to permanent.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 37 hours a week, within a pre-allocated appointment system. The pay rate is up to £25.00 per hour, depending on experience. Own transport is required, and all work will be within the York District.

The role involves working in a customer-focused environment, carrying out building repairs, maintenance, and renewals. Tasks include emergency and routine reactive repairs across various sites, involving residential and commercial properties.

Candidate requirements:

• NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
• Current UK Driving Licence
• Proven experience in plumbing, ideally in residential and/or commercial settings
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize reactive workload
