Job summary

Fraser Edwards Recruitment are supporting a long-established construction contractor to recruit a Plumber/Multi Skilled Operative for Wyton and surrounding areas. Expect plumbing repairs, maintenance, diagnostics and minor installations across sites.

The role includes a 1-in-4 call-out rota with standby fees and enhanced call-out payments; 4–6 calls outside typical hours. The contractor offers a secure base salary and benefits package, including van, pension and life cover.

Qualifications

• Plumbing bias is preferred and adds value.
• 5+ years experience in a similar building/multi-trade role.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance and minor installations.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
• Repair and replace taps, sinks, toilets, pipework and fittings.
• Assist with general property maintenance as required.
• Respond to reactive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Work safely and to a high standard.
• Work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Logging works via PDA.
• Liaising with customers, clients, and staff.

Fraser Edwards are currently working with a construction contractor that have been trading for over 50 years in the construction sector providing complete building and maintenance services to private and public clients nationwide.

Due to continued growth, our client is recruiting for a Plumber/Multi Skilled Operative to join the team, to undertake works in the Wyton and local surrounding areas.

The Job:

• Carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance and minor installations.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
• Repair and replace taps, sinks, toilets, pipework and fittings.
• Assist with general property maintenance as required.
• Respond to reactive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Work safely and to a high standard.
• Work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Logging works via PDA
• Liaising with customers, clients, and staff

This role will include a call out rota, which is 1 in every 4 weeks.

• you will receive a standby fee, paid per day
• All call outs paid at x1.5 hourly rate door to door
• No more than 4 - 6 call outs which normally occur before 10pm and after 6am

Candidate Requirements
