Job summary

Liberty Group in Salford is seeking an experienced Plumber (Disrepair) to carry out repairs, reinstatement works and bathroom refurbishments within occupied domestic properties.

You will diagnose faults in domestic water systems, fix leaks, install and replace bath/shower units, and work with other trades to deliver end-to-end disrepair projects, all while maintaining high standards and safety.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Plumber with at least 5 years of experience in repairs, refurbishment or disrepair projects.
  • Experience working in occupied residential properties and delivering reinstatement works.
  • Knowledge of domestic plumbing and water systems, and ability to diagnose faults.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out plumbing repairs and reinstatement works arising from disrepair claims.
  • Repair leaks and bursts; fix taps, toilets, showers and pipework.
  • Install/repair baths, showers, sinks and waste systems; complete refurbishment works.

8:00am - 4:30pm (with flexibility)

Are you an experienced Plumber with a background in repairs, refurbishments, or disrepair works?

This is your chance to earn £32,977 per annum, complete with a company van, fuel card, and an excellent benefits package, while helping to improve homes and communities across Salford and the surrounding areas.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Plumber (Disrepair) to join our team, carrying out a range of plumbing repairs, reinstatement works, and bathroom refurbishments within occupied domestic properties. You'll play a vital role in restoring homes affected by leaks, water damage, disrepair issues, and general property defects.

Please note, you may be required to work further afield as contract requirements dictate.

Your Role as Our Plumber (Disrepair)
  • Carry out plumbing repairs and remedial works arising from disrepair claims
  • Repair burst pipes and resolve leaks from taps, toilets, showers, and pipework
  • Diagnose and rectify faults within domestic hot and cold-water systems
  • Install, repair, and replace baths, showers, toilets, sinks, hot and cold-water supplies, and waste systems
  • Complete plumbing reinstatement works following water damage, leaks, damp and mould remediation programmes
  • Undertake bathroom refurbishment and replacement works, including pipework alterations
  • Locate and repair hot and cold-water bursts
  • Clear blocked drains, wastes, and toilets
  • Trace, diagnose, and identify faults on domestic plumbing systems
  • Work alongside other trades to deliver end-to-end disrepair and refurbishment projects
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, with properties left clean and safe
  • Accurately record and update works using a PDA system
  • Report accidents, near-miss events, and potential hazards
  • Deliver excellent customer service, adapting to customers' needs and schedules
  • Work within Health & Safety, compliance, and company standards at all times
What We Need From You
  • Qualified Plumber
  • Minimum 5 years' plumbing experience
  • Strong knowledge of domestic plumbing and water systems
  • Experience working within occupied residential properties
  • Experience carrying out repairs, maintenance, reinstatement, and refurbishment works
  • Social housing experience is desirable but not essential
  • Basic tiling skills would be advantageous
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing
  • Must have completed a recognised apprenticeship
  • Competent in all aspects of plumbing maintenance and repair
  • Experience carrying out bathroom replacements, pipework alterations, and wet room installations
  • Experience delivering plumbing works associated with disrepair, refurbishment, or planned works programmes would be highly advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative to resolve issues on site
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
