Job summary

Amey is seeking a permanent Plumber for HMP Ranby to maintain and repair essential facilities within MoJ facilities management. You will perform routine and non-routine maintenance, water supply repairs, fault finding and risk assessments as part of a stable, long-term contract.

The role requires an NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating, driving licence, and experience in a commercial environment. You will work on a rota basis 39 hours per week, with an early finish on Fridays and a 1 in 4 weekend

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating required.
• Experience operating light plant desirable.
• Legionella awareness and compliance desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Experience in a commercial environment desirable.

Responsibilities

The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week. The standard hours of work are39 hours per week.Staff are required to work on a rota basis between08.00am – 17.00pm, with an earlier finish every Friday.There will be a need to work 1 in 4 weekends, but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary).

The base salary is between £30,866 - £36,135 dependant on experience.

What you will do:

• Routine and non-routine maintenance.
• Mains water supply repairs.
• Fault finding Identification of life expired equipment, checking, repairing and making good faults.
• Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment.
• Any other duties commensurate with the role.

What you will bring:

• NVQ level 2 in Plumbing and Heating with experience in plumbing maintenance
• Experience in operating light plant
• Legionella awareness and compliance is desirable
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Experience in a commercial environment
