Job summary

Concorde BGW Group is seeking an experienced Plumber for site-based work across the East Midlands and South/West Yorkshire, predominately on client sites. You will install bathrooms, kitchens and heating systems, and participate in an on-call rota covering evenings, weekends and holidays.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, plumbing qualifications (NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent) and a G3 Unvented qualification, with substantial experience in domestic and commercial plumbing.

Qualifications

• Appropriate qualifications in plumbing - NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent.
• G3 Unvented Qualification.
• Extensive experience in domestic and commercial plumbing installations and reactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and Installation: carry out planned and reactive maintenance in bathrooms, kitchens and heating systems.
• Work Planning and Reporting: take measurements, estimate labour, identify materials, record requirements in the system.
• Health, Safety and Compliance: apply best practice and follow health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Customer Service and Professionalism: deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional approach on every job.

The Role

This vacancy is at Intend Electrical, who are the group specialists in mechanical and electrical engineering.

Our dedicated and talented team are seeking an experienced Plumber to join the team. Although the position will be based from our Nottingham office, the role will be predominantly site based taking the successful applicant out to various domestic, commercial and hospitality buildings within the East Midlands and South/West Yorkshire areas.

Working closely with colleagues and clients, you'll be responsible for carrying out installation works, including bathrooms, kitchens and heating systems. As part of a reactive team, you will participate in a rota for emergencies and call outs covering holidays, evenings and weekends.

No two days are the same, so you'll need to be organised, adaptable and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is a keen team player, has good attention to detail and cares about leaving a great lasting impression!

What You'll Be Responsible For

Maintenance and Installation

• Using your skills and expertise to successfully carry out planned and reactive maintenance works.
• Using your installation skills in a range of settings, including bathrooms, kitchens and heating systems.

Work Planning and Reporting

• Helping each job run smoothly by taking accurate measurements, estimating labour and identifying the materials needed for follow-on work.
• Keeping work progressing by recording requirements through the reporting system and completing clear work notes.

Health, Safety and Compliance

• Keeping your knowledge current and apply best practice in line with health, safety and environmental legislation and working practices.
• Making safety part of every job, working diligently and following company policies and procedures.

Customer Service and Professionalism

• Making a positive impression on every job by delivering excellent customer service and bringing a professional approach to your work

Skills and Experience

Essentials

• Full UK Driving licence and willingness to travel
• Appropriate qualifications in plumbing - NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent.
• G3 Unvented Qualification.
• Extensive experience in domestic and commercial plumbing installations and reactive maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and self-initiative
• Basic competency in using IT - email and the use of tablets for internal software system.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
