Places for People is hiring a qualified Plumber to perform 2nd fix plumbing across domestic properties within your local area. You will travel in a company van, undertake repairs to a high standard, and comply with safety requirements.

The role includes a structured schedule, support for apprentices, and a comprehensive benefits package. A valid UK driving licence and relevant plumbing qualifications are essential.

Formación

• NVQ Level 2 or City and Guilds in Plumbing.
• Experience as a Plumber in social housing or domestic properties.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Based within the advertised postcode due to area coverage.

Responsabilidades

• Carrying out 2nd fix plumbing work across domestic properties both internally and externally.
• Completing general plumbing repairs while maintaining high quality standards.
• Working to specifications and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Collaborating with supervisors, schedulers, and wider teams to meet deadlines.
• Recording work activity and completing required documentation.
• Supporting apprentices and contributing to team performance and KPIs.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out 2nd fix plumbing work across domestic properties both internally and externally
• Completing general plumbing repairs while maintaining high quality standards
• Working to specifications and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements

• Recording work activity and completing required documentation

What your day looks like

• A structured schedule covering repairs and maintenance work
• Travelling between jobs in your company van
• Working independently or with a team of other tradespeople
• Engaging directly with Customers in their homes
• Completing work efficiently while maintaining quality and compliance standards

Where you'll work

You will be working across:

• Occupied homes
• Empty (void) properties
• A range of domestic properties within your local area
• Environments involving vulnerable Customers

Essential Criteria (you need to meet all of these to be shortlisted)

• NVQ Level 2 or City and Guilds in Plumbing
• Experience working as a Plumber, ideally within social housing or domestic properties
• Full UK driving licence
• Due to the area this patch covers, you will need to be based within the advertised postcode

Nice to have (not essential)

• Experience working across multiple trades, so you can finish a job end to end i.e. boxing in, painting, patch plastering.
