Think Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative to cover Merseyside for a leading property services contractor. You will perform plumbing repairs and installations and assist with broader multi-trade works in occupied homes, ensuring quality workmanship and safety.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Plumbing or equivalent.
• Valid Unvented Hot Water Systems qualification.
• Experience working across multiple trades including tiling, carpentry, plastering and decorating.
• Full UK driving licence and own tools.
• Knowledge of social housing repairs is desirable and strong health & safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing repairs and installations, including leaks and water systems.
• Support wider multi-trade maintenance in occupied properties.
• Complete work records using digital/mobile systems.
• Ensure first-time fixes and high quality workmanship.
• Participate in out-of-hours or emergency callouts as required.

Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative - Merseyside

Salary: Up to £31,000 depending on experience

Think Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative to work across Merseyside for a leading property services and maintenance contractor.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of plumbing repairs and installations, while also supporting wider multi-trade maintenance works within occupied residential properties.

You will provide a professional, reliable service to residents, with a strong focus on quality workmanship, health and safety and achieving first-time fixes.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing repairs, including leak detection and hot and cold water systems.
• Work on immersion tanks and bathroom and kitchen installations.
• Undertake multi-trade repairs including:
  • Wall and floor tiling
  • 1st and 2nd fix carpentry
  • Patch plastering and making good
  • Painting and decorating
• Complete work records accurately using mobile/digital systems.
• Carry out risk assessments and follow Health & Safety procedures.
• Work closely with supervisors, planners and other teams.
• Provide excellent customer service when working in occupied properties.
• Support apprentices where required.
• Participate in an out-of-hours or emergency callout rota when required.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Plumbing, or equivalent.
• Valid Unvented Hot Water Systems qualification.
• Previous experience working across multiple trades.
• Experience in tiling, carpentry, plastering and decorating.
• Ability to safely isolate and test electrical components.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Own, well-maintained tools.
• Knowledge of social housing repairs and maintenance is desirable.
• Strong Health & Safety awareness.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
