Axis is recruiting a Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative in Merseyside to deliver high-quality repairs across residential properties. You will lead with plumbing expertise while supporting wider trades to ensure first-time fixes and customer-focused service.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 plumbing or equivalent, a valid Unvented Hot Water Systems Certificate, and multi-trade experience. A driving license and tool kit are essential, with enhanced benefits including a company van and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Plumbing (or equivalent).
• Valid Unvented Hot Water Systems Certificate.
• Experience across multiple trades (tiling, carpentry, plastering, decorating).
• Ability to safely isolate and test electrical components.
• Full UK driving license and well-maintained tool kit.
• Knowledge of social housing repairs & maintenance.
• Strong Health & Safety awareness and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Carry out plumbing works including leak detection, hot/cold water repairs, immersion tanks and bathroom/kitchen installations.
• Support multi-trade repairs including: wall and floor tiling, 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, patch plastering and making good, painting and decorating to a professional standard.
• Record work accurately in real time via the Axis mobile app.
• Collaborate with supervisors, planners and admin teams to keep delivery smooth and efficient.
• Complete risk assessments and follow health and safety procedures on every job.
• Support apprentices and uphold Axis's high standard of customer service.
• Work across occupied residential properties and be available to participate in out-of-hours support or emergency callout rota when required.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected property maintenance contractor, supporting their long-term partnership with Southern Housing Group.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced and versatile Multi Trade Operatives to join a stable, forward-thinking organisation delivering essential repairs and maintenance services across thousands of residential properties.

The Role

About You

You're a reliable, adaptable tradesperson who takes pride in delivering high-quality work across multiple trades. You communicate clearly with residents, work well as part of a team, and help us maintain safe, warm and well-presented homes across our Swindon contract.
