Job summary

Global Guardians is seeking a qualified plumber to maintain and repair plumbing across multiple properties in South London and surrounding areas. You will ensure safe, functional water systems and comply with WRAS and building standards.

The role requires hands-on experience with water and waste systems, good diagnostic skills, and a valid UK driving license to access sites efficiently.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent required.
• WRAS water regulations certification desirable.
• Unvented hot water (G3) qualification desirable.
• Full UK driving license required and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and reactive plumbing maintenance across London properties.
• Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, faulty fixtures and drainage issues.
• Install and maintain water supply, waste pipes and sanitary ware.
• Ensure plumbing works meet water regs, standards and company QA.
• Coordinate access and scheduling with Operations and tenants.
• Log tasks and photos using the My Globe system.

Job description

We are Global Guardians, the UK's leading Property Guardianship Company with a mission to bring empty properties back to life for the benefit of local communities. We are dedicated to offering sustainable and affordable solutions for managing vacant buildings by placing working professionals as guardians into these properties, ensuring they are kept safe and secure.

We are currently seeking a Plumber to join our dynamic team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role is based across various locations South London and the surrounding areas.

Your role will be to ensure all plumbing systems across Global Guardians managed properties are maintained and repaired to a high standard, providing safe, functional, and habitable environments for our property guardian customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out scheduled and reactive plumbing maintenance and repair tasks at properties across London.
• Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues including leaks, blockages, faulty fixtures, and drainage problems.
• Install and maintain water supply systems, waste pipework, sanitary ware, and other plumbing-related components.
• Ensure all plumbing work meets current water regulations, building standards, and internal company quality requirements.
• Liaise professionally with the Operations Team, tenants, and other stakeholders to coordinate access and job scheduling.
• Use the "My Globe" digital job management system to log tasks, update job progress, and submit completion notes/photos.
• Ensure safe handling and security of tools, equipment, and property keys.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and professional working environment on-site at all times.

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent).
• Water Regulations (WRAS) certification - desirable.
• Unvented hot water (G3) qualification - desirable.
• Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle - required.

• CSCS card and basic Health & Safety certification - preferred.

• Proven experience in a dedicated plumbing role, ideally within residential or facilities management environments.
• Strong diagnostic skills and hands-on experience with water systems, waste systems, and general pipework.

Salary:

£35,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
