Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking a Maintenance Plumber in Coalville to join a professional facilities management team. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plumbing and mechanical systems, keeping water supply and waste systems operating safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Plumbing required.
• Experience in maintenance plumbing roles preferred.
• Solid knowledge of plumbing systems and maintenance practices.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Maintain water supply, distribution, valves, fixtures, and outlets.
• Install and maintain pipework and plumbing fixtures per drawings and regs.
• Maintain waste and vent systems with appropriate equipment.
• Perform inspections and PPM activities, including backflow devices when certified.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and breakdowns on site.
• Collaborate with contractors and site teams on projects and installs.
• Support general building maintenance and provide guidance to colleagues.

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Plumber to join a professional facilities management team based in Coalville, offering a basic salary of up to £39,000 per annum.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced plumber to take on a varied role, working on a static high profile site and helping to keep essential systems operating safely and efficiently.

The Role

You'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, installations, testing and fault finding across plumbing and mechanical systems.

You'll work as part of a wider maintenance team, supporting day-to-day building operations while also responding to breakdowns, emergencies and maintenance requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, installations and fault finding on plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Maintain water supply and distribution systems, including valves, fixtures and outlets.
• Install and maintain pipework, water systems and plumbing fixtures in accordance with drawings, specifications and relevant regulations.
• Maintain waste and vent systems using appropriate equipment.
• Complete plumbing inspections and PPM activities, including backflow prevention devices where appropriately certified.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency call-outs and breakdowns.
• Work closely with contractors and site teams, providing plumbing expertise during projects and equipment installations.
• Support general building maintenance activities when required.
• Share your knowledge and provide basic plumbing guidance to colleagues.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally and in line with health and safety requirements and company procedures.

You’ll Ideally Have:

• NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing.
• Previous experience in a maintenance plumbing role.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
