Job summary

Winner Recruitment is seeking an experienced Plumber to join a growing repairs and maintenance team covering sites across London and the South East. The role focuses on reactive plumbing repairs, fault diagnosis and delivering high-quality workmanship in social housing properties.

You will work independently in occupied and void properties, maintaining safety and compliance while liaising with residents. A full UK driving licence and own tools are preferred; a company van is provided with a fuel

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Plumber Multi Trader within social housing, repairs, or maintenance.
• Experience working within occupied properties.
• Full UK driving licence and own tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend reactive plumbing repairs and maintenance within agreed timescales.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to pipework, taps, toilets, cylinders, radiators and associated fittings.
• Carry out minor plumbing installations and replacement works as required.
• Record progress, materials used and completion details on job management systems.
• Liaise with residents professionally and report safeguarding or access concerns.
• Work with supervisors, planners and other trades to support efficient service delivery.

Salary: £44,000 + Company Van & Fuel Card

Our client, a leading contractor within the social housing sector, is currently recruiting for an experienced Plumber to join their growing repairs and maintenance team covering multiple sites across london and South East england.

This role is ideal for a qualified plumber with broad maintenance experience who can deliver high-quality repairs and excellent customer service within occupied and void social housing properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend reactive plumbing repairs and maintenance jobs within agreed timescales.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to pipework, taps, toilets, cylinders, radiators and associated fittings.
• Carry out minor plumbing installations and replacement works as required.
• Isolate, make safe and reinstate systems in line with safe working practices.
• Identify follow-on works, materials required and any access or technical issues.
• Complete work to the required standard, ensuring properties are left clean and tidy.
• Record job progress, materials used and completion details accurately on handheld or job management systems.
• Liaise professionally with residents, reporting any safeguarding, access or property concerns.
• Work with supervisors, planners and other trades to support efficient service delivery.
• Comply with health and safety requirements, risk assessments and company procedures at all times.
• Use materials and resources responsibly and minimise waste where possible.
• Following all health and safety procedures

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Plumber Multi Trader within social housing, repairs, or maintenance
• Strong plumbing background with multi-trade repair experience
• Experience working within occupied properties
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Own tools (preferred unless otherwise supplied)

Desirable

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or equivalent qualification
• Experience using PDA systems for job management
• Previous social housing or local authority contractor experience
