Job summary

CBRE Local UK is seeking a Mechanical Plumber to maintain heating and air-conditioning plant, evaporation cooling systems, and domestic water systems on client sites. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, and execute planned maintenance to ensure uninterrupted site operations.

The role requires hands-on expertise with pumps, motors, valves, and cooling towers, with strong health and safety practices and a professional client-facing approach.

Qualifications

• Experience of maintaining pumps, motors and valves.
• Experience of operating cooling towers.
• Understanding and experience of health and safety obligations in maintenance.
• Time served plumber with NVQ Level 2/3.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance on Heating & Air-conditioning plant on-site.
• Maintain evaporation cooling systems and domestic water systems to L8 standard.
• Rectify plant faults and defects to keep equipment in serviceable order.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive works on site plant.
• Present a professional CBRE image and deliver excellent customer service.

Job description

Role Summary

• Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all Heating & Air-conditioning plant
• Ensure that Evaporation Cooling Systems and Domestic water systems are maintained to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard.
• Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order at all times.
• To carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works to other site plant as required.
• Ensure a professional image of CBRE Managed Services is presented to clients and visitors, and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times.

The successful candidate will be a Mechanical Plumber who is proficient in various disciplines, capable of handling a range of maintenance and repairs on-site. Their responsibilities include performing inspections, diagnosing and fixing equipment issues, conducting repairs across different systems, and ensuring smooth operations on site.

Hours

7.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday 1.30pm Finish on Fridays

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience of maintaining Pumps, Motors and Valves.
• Experience of operating Cooling Towers.
• Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations with regard to maintenance activities.
• Time served plumber to NVQ Level 2/3
