Job summary

Niyaa People is recruiting a Plumber for reactive repairs across social housing properties around Andover. You will carry out a wide range of plumbing tasks, manage a busy workload and interact professionally with residents.

The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm with a 1-hour break, paid at £23 per hour plus a company van and fuel, with a temp-to-perm path after 16 weeks and a salary of £36,000–£38,000 on permanent hire.

Qualifications

• Strong plumbing experience.
• Experience in reactive repairs or maintenance.
• Social housing experience preferred, or similar domestic maintenance experience.
• Experience working in occupied properties.
• Reactive repairs and maintenance background.
• Ability to work quickly and independently.
• Professional and customer-focused approach.
• DBS disclosure is arranged if needed.
• Availability to start quickly.

Plumber role covering Andover, paying £23 per hour + company van and fuel, with the opportunity to go permanent after 16 weeks on a salary of £36,000–£38,000.

This is a fast-paced reactive repairs role working across occupied social housing properties. You'll need to be confident carrying out a wide range of plumbing repairs alongside associated multi-trade works, managing a busy workload and dealing professionally with residents.

As a Plumber, you will be:

• Completing reactive plumbing repairs across occupied social housing properties.
• Carrying out everything from tap changes and minor repairs through to more extensive plumbing works.
• Undertaking associated multi-trade repairs where required.
• Working across housing association properties.
• Managing a fast-paced workload and responding to changing priorities.
• Working professionally with tenants and minimising disruption.
• Completing jobs safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy.
• Completing relevant job sheets and paperwork.

• Strong plumbing experience.
• Previous experience working as a Plumber in reactive repairs or maintenance.
• Social housing experience is preferred, although similar domestic maintenance experience will be considered.
• Experience working in occupied properties.
• A background in reactive repairs and maintenance.
• Experience carrying out associated multi-trade repairs.
• The ability to work quickly and independently.
• A professional and customer-focused approach.
• A full UK driving licence with 6 points or fewer.
• A DBS – if you don't currently have one, this can be arranged.
• Availability to start quickly.
