Job summary

Safran Seats is seeking a PLM Project Director to define and lead the deployment of Windchill PLM across the three Safran Seats Business Units in France, the UK and the United States. You will work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into a complete end-to-end solution.

• Emphasize change management and the communication plan throughout the project.

Your Role

Within Safran Seats, the PLM Project Director will be responsible for defining and leading the deployment of Windchill PLM across the three Safran Seats Business Units in France, the UK and the United States. Working closely with key stakeholders across the organisation, the role will oversee the programme from the definition of business requirements through to the implementation of the complete solution.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strong technical and functional leadership across the project scope, coordinating the various stakeholders involved.


• Build and lead a multidisciplinary team to support the future use of PLM throughout the entire product lifecycle, from pre-project activities through to after-sales.


• Coordinate all workstreams and sub-projects within the PLM transformation plan, including design, solution robustness, functional prerequisites, product assurance, implementation, migration, training, communication and change management, ensuring alignment with the final target solution.


• Ensure that each sub-project has the appropriate resources, skills and equipment required to achieve its objectives, covering both internal Safran Seats resources and external service providers.


• Place particular emphasis on change management and the communication plan.


• Manage project risks and opportunities, incorporating lessons learned from previous experience.

What You'll Bring

• Good understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).


• Experience in deploying PLM solutions and using Windchill would be an advantage.


• Strategic mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving.


• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at different levels of the organisation.


• Ability to lead, influence and bring teams together within a matrix organisation, without direct hierarchical authority.


• Results orientated with a commitment to providing excellent service to internal customers.
