Job summary

PLM in Bristol is seeking a proactive PLM Consultant to translate client needs into practical PLM solutions across product development and manufacturing. You will configure systems to fit workflows and integrate with ERP, CAD and IoT platforms while leading implementation efforts and delivering targeted training.

The role emphasizes strong stakeholder communication, workshops, and ongoing guidance on PLM best practices within manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years’ experience in consultancy or a similar client-facing role.
• Understanding of PLM, digital transformation or engineering software environments.
• Experience with PTC solutions such as Windchill, Creo or ThingWorx.
• Background in IT, industrial design, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or a related field.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate them into practical solution recommendations.
• Basic project management experience.
• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Confident running workshops, training sessions and client conversations.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse client requirements across product development, manufacturing and lifecycle management.
• Translate business needs into clear PLM recommendations and solution designs.
• Configure PLM systems to match client workflows, business rules and industry requirements.
• Support software installation, configuration, customisation and data migration.
• Integrate PLM solutions with wider enterprise systems such as ERP, CAD, CRM and IoT platforms.
• Lead implementation activity, keeping projects on track against timelines and budgets.
• Deliver training and workshops to help client teams get the most from the system.
• Provide technical support and act as an escalation point for PLM-related issues.
• Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor throughout the project.
• Stay current on PLM trends, best practice and emerging digital transformation technologies.
