Controls and Instrumentation Engineer

The COMPANY

Our client is a well-established global manufacturer of power turbines and combustion systems, serving industries such as Marine, Petrochemical, Waste to Energy, Hospitals, Education, Offshore Oil & Gas, and Power. Their comprehensive product range has earned an excellent reputation across more than 100 countries, and we are proud to support their ongoing expansion by providing suitable local staff to join their outstanding team.

The ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Controls/Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer with experience in Siemens S7 PLCs to join a successful and expanding organization.

Due to continued growth, they now require an additional controls engineer. The main responsibilities include:

1. Programming Siemens S7 PLCs.
2. Designing and programming PLC software.
3. Reviewing project files and confirming Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls scope.
4. Developing P&ID diagrams.
5. Preparing Instrument Data, Electrical drives (VSD), and MCC data sheets.
6. Reviewing vendor quotes.
7. Producing wiring schematics and connection diagrams.
8. Preparing BOMs.
9. Preparing PLC/DCS I/O lists.

The PERSON

The ideal candidate will be an intelligent and dynamic individual eager to develop their career within this progressive organization. Requirements include:

1. Experience programming Siemens S7 PLCs.
2. Education in a relevant discipline (Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronic Engineering).
3. Experience in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering.
4. Controls knowledge.
5. Proficiency in LV electrical circuit and panel design.
6. Familiarity with P&IDs.

Salary and Package

Salary depends on experience. The package includes Pension, Healthcare, Life Insurance, and Critical Illness Cover.
