Job summary

Dringhouses Out of School Club in York is seeking a motivated Playworker to join our busy after-school club on a permanent, part-time basis. You will help plan activities and support a safe, creative environment for children aged 4–11.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification in Playwork or childcare (desirable) or willingness to work toward one. Hours are 25 per week, with shifts 7:15–8:45 and 14:30–18:00, and opportunities for additional hours during school holidays. Rate £12.71 per hour.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in Playwork or childcare is desirable or willingness to work toward a recognised qualification.
• Experience or understanding of EYFS standards is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan out of school club activities and lead safe, creative play for different age groups.
• Support a high-quality childcare environment and maintain a safe setting.
• Engage in training and development opportunities and work both independently and with the team.
