Job summary

Davyhulme Primary School in Manchester is seeking a Playworker for Owls’ Nest wraparound care (breakfast and after school club). Start as soon as possible on a temporary contract with scope to increase hours; 18 hours per week based on experience, term-time only plus inset days.

You will work as part of a caring team, supporting children with quality play activities, following school policies, and ensuring safeguarding. A Level 2 childcare qualification is required, DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Relevant childcare or play work qualification (Level 2) or equivalent.
• Experience in wraparound care is beneficial.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow school policies.

Responsibilities

PLAYWORKER – OWLS’ NEST - SCHOOL WRAPAROUND CARE

Start: As soon as possible
Band 2 point 5, £26,427 (annual pro rata salary, based on 18 hours - £11,287)
Term time only plus inset days (39 weeks)
Hours: 3 – 18 hours per week dependant on experience
Scope to work additional hours during holiday club
Temporary contract with scope to increase contractual hours.

The Governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Playworker within the school’s wraparound care facility, Owls’ Nest, including breakfast and after school club.

The playworker will assist with the day to day activities within breakfast and after school club, providing quality playcare within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures.
