Job summary

John Taylor Multi Academy Trust is seeking a Play Worker for The Nest wrap around care club. The role is part-time, term-time only, fixed term to 31 August 2026 with potential extension. Various hours across 7.15am–9am and 3–6pm, Monday to Friday, with a pro rata salary of £25,185 and an hourly rate of £13.05.

You will help plan and lead activities for children aged 3 to 11 and provide a secure, caring environment supporting each child to flourish within The Nest team.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm, passion and nurturing approach to working with children.
• Reliable and flexible to cover other shifts.
• Experience with children in a similar role desirable but not essential.

A successful candidate will possess:

• Enthusiasm, passion, and a nurturing approach to working with children
• Reliability and be flexible (to cover other shifts on occasion)
• Experience of working with children in a similar role would be ideal but not essential

As a Playworker you will help to plan and lead a range of suitable activities for children aged between 3 and 11 years old.
You will need to be reliable and committed to supporting the needs of all individuals within the Nest and be able to help provide a secure and caring environment in which they can flourish.
