Job summary

Carr Junior School is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Playworker to join our experienced team, supervising and creating play opportunities for our children.

The role supports the delivery of high quality care for children attending the Breakfast and After School Club, ensuring safety and wellbeing while providing warm, fun activities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in a playwork or educational setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents/carers and staff.
• Good literacy and numeracy standards.

Job description

Carr Junior School is seeking to recruit a caring and enthusiastic Playworker to join our experienced team, in supervising and creating play opportunities for our children.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high quality care and provision for the children who attend the Breakfast and After School Club, making the school’s provision a warm, fun and supportive place to be. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of pupils, delivering engaging activities under the guidance and support of the Wraparound Care Manager.

You should have experience of working with children or young people in a play work or educational setting, delivering engaging activities for pupils, and you will be able to communicate effectively with pupils, parents / carers and staff. You will have a good standard of literacy and numeracy.

Qualifications in food hygiene and first aid are desirable, but training will be provided if you do not already hold these.
