Job summary

Tinsley Meadows Primary School is seeking two Lunchtime Playworkers to join our existing team to supervise pupils at lunchtime and support safe play.

The fixed term, term-time role is 6.5 hours per day across 39 weeks per year. Grade 1 pay point (£24,413 / £3,688 pro rata per annum). We are committed to safeguarding, health and safety, and promoting positive behaviour within our school community.

Qualifications

  • Has experience of working with children or young people in paid or voluntary capacity or by supporting children at home.
  • Willingness to actively engage with children in play activities.
  • Is committed to learning and understanding health and safety and food hygiene as required by the role.
  • Is able to work with professional integrity, honesty and transparency.
  • Is passionate about safeguarding children.
  • Is committed to working with the school and the trust to promote positive behaviour strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Support children at lunchtime as they eat and play.
  • Promote safe, inclusive play and supervise lunchtime activities.

BASE: Tinsley Meadows Primary School

EMPLOYER: Five Rivers Multi Academy Trust

HOURS: 6.5 Hours (Term time only – 39 weeks per year)

GRADE / SALARY: Grade 1 pt 3 £24,413 (£3688 pro rata per annum)

Tinsley Meadows Primary Academy is seeking to appoint a x2 Lunchtime Playworkers to join our existing team to support children at lunchtime as they eat and play.

  2. Has a willingness to actively engage with children in play activities
  3. Is committed to learning and understanding health and safety and food hygiene as required by the role
  4. Is able to work with professional integrity, honesty and transparency
  5. Is passionate about safeguarding children
  6. Is committed to working with the school and the trust to promote positive behaviour strategies to achieve a culture that promotes fairness and respect.
