Job summary

Peterborough Limited is seeking a lunchtime supervisor to ensure a positive, healthy lunchtime experience for our children during term time. The role is 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within a supportive team.

You will promote healthy eating, manage simple behavioural issues with respect, and complete First Aid and safeguarding training as part of annual CPD to help foster a caring school community in line with our ethos.

Qualifications

• CPD involvement including First Aid training and annual Safeguarding/Child Protection training.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with children and respond to playground issues fairly.
• Demonstrate high expectations of healthy eating and good table manners.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive lunchtime experience by building good relationships with children.
• Address challenging behaviour with respect and following the Behaviour Policy.
• Promote healthy eating and table manners, helping children develop good eating habits.
• Maintain confidentiality while building supportive relationships with children.
• Undertake CPD including First Aid and Safeguarding training.

Job description

We are looking for a lunchtime supervisor to work 7.5 hours per week, term time, Monday - Friday, within a team to make the lunchtime experience for our children positive, happy and healthy.

Responsibilities and Expectations

• who will strive to make the lunchtime experience for our children as positive as possible by building good relationships and responding to playground issues fairly.
• who understands how to tackle challenging behaviour in children with respect and understanding, following the school's Behaviour Policy.
• has high expectations of healthy eating and table manners and supports the children to develop good eating habits.
• understands our children and our community and who is able to build supportive and respectful relationships with children whilst maintaining confidentiality and following the school's Code of Conduct.
• who is prepared to undertake appropriate CPD to develop their skills including First Aid training and annual Safeguarding / Child Protection training.
• Is an energetic individual who smiles often, engages with the children and models our values and ethos at all times.
• Understands the importance of Child Protection and is committed to the safeguarding of children's welfare - both at home and in school.
