Job summary

Calcot Collection is seeking a warm and professional Playbarn Deputy Manager to join our team in Gloucestershire. You will help deliver safe, fun, and engaging childcare for our guests’ children as part of an exceptional family-friendly hotel experience.

The role includes supervising staff, organising activities, and ensuring safeguarding and policies are followed. A minimum Level 3 childcare qualification and paediatric first aid are required, with prior leadership experience preferred.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8:45-5:30pm, Thursday morning 8:45pm-1pm and every other Sunday 8:45-5:30pm

£13.37 per hour plus a share of Hotel Tips

We are looking for a warm, reliable, professional and enthusiastic Playbarn Deputy Manager to join our friendly team. This role supports the delivery of safe, fun and engaging childcare for our guests’ children, contributing to an exceptional family-friendly hotel experience.

Your main Responsibilities will include:

• To supervise children, ensuring a correct adult to child ratio is kept
• Support the manager with day to day running of the Playbarn.
• Comply with all safeguarding requirements
• Act as a positive role model to the team and children
• Administrative tasks to include rotas, booking children in, replying to emails, organising babysitting and support with planning of activities
• Awareness of the differing needs of a wide range of children, ensuring the welfare of the children is a priority at all times
• Oversee staff supervisions, mentoring and development
• Organise and deliver a wide range of stimulating and safe activities throughout the session
• Carry out daily risk assessments
• To ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Communication with parents and carers in a positive manner

We are looking for someone that has a minimum level 3 childcare qualification, paediatric first aid, experience in a previous leadership or supervisory role, is confident in leadership and organisation skills and is passionate about delivering outstanding care for our children.

Please be advised we are based in the countryside of Gloucestershire and you will require your own means of transport for this position.
