Job summary

EDF Trading is seeking a senior Platform Operations leader to ensure the reliable, secure and cost-effective operation of core technology infrastructure. You will own the operational lifecycle across compute, storage, network, OS and data centre services, driving automation and IaC adoption.

Based in London with hybrid working, you will shape resilience, capacity planning and incident response for mission‑critical trading platforms, data platforms and AI workloads.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience managing enterprise infrastructure and operations teams.
• Ownership of large-scale infrastructure estates spanning cloud and traditional tech.
• Experience supporting mission-critical environments such as trading or financial services.
• Proven track record delivering automation and modernization programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Platform Operations for reliable, secure, cost-efficient core infrastructure.
• Own performance, availability, capacity and resilience across environments.
• Promote automation, IaC adoption and operational excellence.
• Drive infrastructure lifecycle: patching, hardware refresh, and vendor support.
• Ensure backup, DR and business continuity capabilities are designed and tested.
• Manage suppliers, contracts, licensing and Platform Operations budget.
• Coach and develop the operations team with a culture of ownership.
