Job summary

ea Change Group is seeking a hands-on Infrastructure Specialist to own a data migration platform in a major banking integration project. You will be responsible for production performance, capacity, and stability, ensuring safe data extraction from Oracle, Mainframe, and Windows Server environments.

You will work with database specialists and SMEs, present findings in technical forums, and drive capacity models and reporting to support go/no-go decisions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on infrastructure background with production focus.
• Proven capacity and performance forecasting and right-sizing.
• Experience with VMware and virtualised environments.
• Broad infra knowledge across Windows Server, storage, databases and Mainframe.

Responsibilities

• Own data migration platform as production infra including performance and resilience.
• Run capacity and performance management, forecast demand and pre-empt contention.
• Analyse performance across VMware, Windows, Oracle and Mainframe components.
• Ensure safe and reliable data extraction from Mainframe and Oracle sources.
• Collaborate with database specialists and SMEs, challenge assumptions when needed.
• Represent platform in boards and go/no-go decisions with evidence-based views.
• Create capacity models and stakeholder packs converting data into decisions.
• Push back to protect platform stability or migration timelines.
