Job summary

JP Morgan Chase is expanding its Public Cloud IAM team in the UK to lead the design and delivery of secure identity platform services. You will work across architecture, trust, and downstream IAM consumers to improve reliability and scalability.

We seek engineers with strong IAM, cloud, and software engineering fundamentals who can mentor others and drive continuous improvement in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with advanced applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience with IAM platforms, RBAC, or entitlement governance at scale.
• Advanced proficiency in Java, Spring, Go, Python, Terraform, or Kubernetes.
• Cloud-native experience building/operating services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Strong knowledge of agile methodologies, CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
• Ability to translate engineering decisions into business outcomes for customers.
• Excellent communication; ability to adapt messages for diverse audiences.
• Preferred: regulated financial services environment and cloud platform contributions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of platform services and infrastructure with a focus on architecture and reliability.
• Develop and maintain secure, high-quality production code with engineering judgment.
• Identify and automate remediation to improve operational stability.
• Lead design reviews and architecture discussions across teams.
• Collaborate with IAM and trust teams to deliver coherent cross‑org designs.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices and continuous improvement.
• Foster diversity, inclusion, and a culture of shared learning.
