Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for Identity and Access Management in Glasgow. You will lead a team of technologists to modernize authentication platforms and deliver secure, scalable solutions across global teams.

You will guide architecture, embrace open standards, and mentor engineers to implement robust security practices while collaborating with stakeholders worldwide.

Qualifications

• Must lead a small team to deliver innovative IAM solutions.
• Strong understanding of architecture, design, and business processes.
• Experience with authentication technologies (OAuth2/OIDC, SAML, social logins).
• Proficiency in Java and cloud-native environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Ability to work effectively in diverse, global teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team to deliver high-quality, innovative identity and access management solutions.
• Modernize authentication and authorization platforms across multiple channels and domains.
• Evaluate and prototype internal and vendor solutions for user authentication.
• Integrate anti-fraud and biometric authentication solutions into customer-facing applications.
• Utilize APIs and SDKs for both niche solutions and open standards.
• Drive quality and efficiency throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Set and model high technical standards for the team.
• Collaborate with local and global teams to achieve common goals.
• Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
