Job summary

JP Morgan Chase is expanding its Public Cloud IAM team in the UK to lead the design and delivery of secure identity platform services. You will work across architecture, trust, and downstream IAM consumers to improve reliability and scalability.

We seek engineers with strong IAM, cloud, and software engineering fundamentals who can mentor others and drive continuous improvement in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with advanced applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience with IAM platforms, RBAC, or entitlement governance at scale.
• Advanced proficiency in Java, Spring, Go, Python, Terraform, or Kubernetes.
• Cloud-native experience building/operating services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Strong knowledge of agile methodologies, CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
• Ability to translate engineering decisions into business outcomes for customers.
• Excellent communication; ability to adapt messages for diverse audiences.
• Preferred: regulated financial services environment and cloud platform contributions.

Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year

Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with advanced applied experience
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience with Identity and Access Management platforms, role-based access control, or entitlement governance at scale
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, frameworks, or platforms such as Java, Spring, Go, Python, Terraform, or Kubernetes
• Practical cloud-native experience building and operating services on at least one public cloud provider such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, continuous integration and continuous delivery, application resiliency, and security
• Ability to evaluate technical solutions with a customer-focused mindset and understand how engineering decisions impact users and business outcomes
• Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt messages for technical and non-technical audiences
• Responsible use of approved artificial intelligence tooling, with critical judgment to validate quality, correctness, security, and performance
• Preferred: experience in financial services or another highly regulated technology environment with formal audit and control posture
• Preferred: experience contributing to public cloud platform services, developer platforms, or shared engineering capabilities
• Preferred: familiarity with responsible artificial intelligence use in engineering workflows, including secure handling of inputs and outputs
