Job summary

Accenture UK is seeking experienced engineers to design and deliver digital products for a diverse client base. You will work hands-on across backend systems, lead peers, and drive value through robust, scalable solutions using Java, React, TypeScript or Python.

You will deploy and operate cloud-native apps on AWS/Azure, embrace DevOps practices, and apply GenAI responsibly to accelerate delivery while maintaining security and reliability. Expect mobility across client sites in the UK.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience building backend services across different integration paradigms (synchronous, message-driven, event-driven).
• Fluent in at least one of Java, React, TypeScript or Python.
• Experience deploying and running cloud-native applications on AWS and/or Azure.
• Familiar with working in DevOps teams with industry-standard practices.
• Ability to produce repeatable, automated tests for your own work.
• Enjoy collaborating with others in a team to build and solve problems together in an egoless way.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI or active GenAI projects outside of work.
• Bring a reliability-first mindset to service delivery, with meaningful SLIs and SLOs.
• Enable pragmatic observability across services (logging, metrics, distributed tracing), and contribute to incident response.
• Willingness to adapt to changing stacks and client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build digital products for clients and their customers hands-on and lead others to do the same.
• Work across new domains and technology stacks on varied client projects.
• Advocate for value-focused engineering and simple, low-complexity solutions.
• Contribute to internal and regional engineering communities and share knowledge.
• Use AI-assisted engineering practices responsibly to improve delivery quality and speed.
• Design services to be operable by default and measured with SLIs/SLOs.
• Improve observability and implement actionable alerting across services.
• Collaborate with clients and teams to deliver outcomes that meet business goals.
