Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking an Engineering Manager (Platform) to lead a high-performing squad within the Accelerator Business Platform Team. You will translate business goals into technical roadmaps, foster engineering talent, and drive a culture of inclusion and excellence across the engineering organization.

You will own growth, health, and delivery of the team, ensuring products scale and align with the firm’s mission. This role emphasizes collaboration, governance, and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical challenges.
• Proven people-management experience with coaching engineers and driving team performance.
• Strong background in software engineering, including system design, cloud native systems, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to guide technical decisions and evaluate designs.
• Experience managing complex technical delivery in an agile environment.
• Exceptional communication skills for influencing technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of software engineers.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of platform initiatives and translate requirements into technical roadmaps.
• Drive engineering standards and best practices for high-quality code and scalable infrastructure.
• Partner with senior leadership to set long-term technical vision for the platform.
• Champion a culture of ownership and incident management while seeking automation opportunities.
• Ensure collaboration across teams and stakeholders on architectural and delivery trade-offs.
• Identify and mitigate issues to deliver the book of work and promote adoption of leading-edge technologies.
• Define governance and ways of working for enterprise‑authorized AI-assisted development and SDLC automation.
