Job summary

A Tier 1 Bank is hiring an Engineering Manager to own their process orchestration platform end-to-end, overseeing the engineering roadmap, playbooks and ongoing maintenance while coordinating vendor upgrades and internal improvements across all teams running their own stack instances.

The role requires hands-on involvement with code, architecture, and problem-solving, beyond pure people management, plus management of feature teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS core services and scalable architectures.
• Kubernetes/EKS experience is a plus, previously moved from ECS.
• Comfort switching between languages like Java, Go, TypeScript.
• Experience in large, regulated organisations preferred over startup environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform end-to-end: design, build, maintain.
• Roll out upgrades and improvements to consuming teams.
• Stay hands-on with code, architecture and problem solving.
• Manage multiple feature teams and priorities.
