EPAM Systems in London is seeking an experienced Platform Engineering Manager/Consultant to lead end-to-end data and AI platform delivery in a hybrid setup. You will bridge technical teams and client stakeholders while driving Databricks-based solutions and platform optimization on AWS.

The role emphasizes leadership, cloud-native architectures, and delivering actionable data insights through Tableau with SAP data integration support. London-based with hybrid work flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in platform/data engineering or related roles.
• Extensive experience with Databricks; certification considered highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud-native technologies.
• Proven experience using Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
• Ability to manage client relationships and deliver business-focused solutions.
• Track record of leading technical teams and resolving delivery challenges.
• Deep understanding of data engineering principles, ETL processes, and cloud architectures.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee end-to-end data and AI platform delivery, ensuring quality and timely execution.
• Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and client stakeholders to manage expectations.
• Drive the design and implementation of Databricks-centric platforms and related data products.
• Guide teams in leveraging AWS storage and compute services for platform optimization.
• Own integration with Tableau to enable actionable visualizations for clients.
• Support SAP data integration and migration activities as required.
• Identify and remove technical blockers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Promote best practices in platform engineering, DevOps, and cloud operations within delivery teams.
• Conduct regular project reviews and progress updates with client stakeholders.
• Contribute to solution architecture, documentation, and knowledge sharing processes.
