Job summary

Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology seeks a Platform Engineer to design, build and operate scalable platform services for engineering workloads. You will enable self-service infrastructure, automation and secure delivery across hybrid environments.

You will collaborate with software teams to ensure reliability, performance and developer productivity, applying DevSecOps and IaC practices within an Agile/DevOps context.

Qualifications

• Expert Linux/Unix administration.
• Programming/scripting in Python, Bash, Go.
• Experience with CI/CD and GitOps tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab, ArgoCD or Flux).
• Strong knowledge of platform security: identity management, secrets, vulnerability remediation and least-privilege access.
• Familiarity with InfiniBand, MPI and Ethernet concepts.
• Hands-on with configuration management and IaC tools (Ansible, Git, Vault).
• Knowledge of containers, orchestration and observability stacks (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack, Grafana, Kafka).
• Experience building observability: monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, telemetry.
• Awareness of secure software development and DevSecOps; Agile/DevOps delivery; multiple delivery platforms (GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
• Experience deploying and operating infrastructure in public clouds.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain platforms end-to-end for the Technology Campus.
• Develop self-service platform capabilities for provisioning infrastructure, compute, storage and app services securely.
• Define service reliability objectives, capacity plans and operational metrics.
• Provide advanced technical support and manage escalations via ticketing systems.
• Collaborate with software engineering to meet application requirements and improve developer experience.
• Own on-premises and cloud-hosted platform services and drive reliability improvements.
• Lead automation and Infrastructure as Code practices for reliability and efficiency.
• Contribute to platform governance and knowledge sharing across teams.
• Enable efficient consumption of platform services with usability and repeatability in mind.
