Job summary

Atlassian Williams F1 Racing Team seeks a Platform Engineer to design, build and operate Kubernetes-based infrastructure across hybrid-cloud and on-prem environments. You’ll contribute to developer experience tooling and self-service platforms for engineers, non-developers and AI-assisted workflows.

The role covers infrastructure-as-code patterns, CI/CD improvements, incident response and platform automation to reduce toil.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or equivalent in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field.
• Experience provisioning and operating Kubernetes clusters (AKS, EKS, on-prem).
• Strong IaC practices with Terraform and Helm.
• Experience with GitOps and CI/CD tooling (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions).
• Scripting in Python/Bash or similar for automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate Kubernetes-based infrastructure across hybrid-cloud and on-prem environments.
• Define best practices for security, scaling, high availability and multi-tenancy.
• Develop platform tooling and self-service capabilities for developers.
